Cabinet Council on Commerce and Trade
Working Group on Space
The Working Group will coordinate the implementation of the
decisions made by the President on July 18, 1984. In addition,
it will advise the Cabinet Council on Commerce and Trade on such
matters as:
o New proposals for a commercial space policy.
o Further actions the federal government could take to
facilitate private sector investment in space
commercialization, such as economic, regulatory, and
research and development and procurement initiatives.
o The implications of other actions the federal
government might take which could affect the commercial
development of space.
Because of the significance of this Working Group, I recommend
that your designee be someone with direct access to you and who
can speak for you on these issues.
If you wish to participate, please give me the name of your
designee by October 12, 1984.
