1. The list of CIA Reporting Entities is attached. The ar
numbered within the bloc1 900-899. All numbers from 800 t rou?.. 894 not
specifically listed are not in use and are available for later :sig.: men .
2. These numbers have been assigned more or less arbitra-.r ow-
ever we have made an attemot to leave room for expansion at pla--es w--er.
we thought this might occur. This is a matter of convenience and no of
necessity, since in machine coding the machine is not concerned abou; V-1-
numbers are assigned to which entities.
3. Again, for convenience, the entities have been grouped rdeer fir
major headings: DCI area, 'DDP area, DDI area, DDS&T area and D?7;-, are.
4. Where "synthetic" Reporting Entities are listed -- i.e., whe_-e
the Reporting Entity does not precisely represent the resources of a sin,--;-:
actual organizational component -- a reconciliation, -Which Jndi(.,,aUes
which portions of which real organizational components have been gro-:ped
the synthetic entity, is available both in CIA/OPPB and in
DCI/NIPE.
