Office of General Counsel Approved For Release 2008/10/16: CIA-RDP86M00886R002700030023-8 Approved For Release 2008/10/16: CIA-RDP86M00886R002700030023-8 Office of Inspector General - The inspection report of the Office of Finance is now complete and has been forwarded to the Executive Director and the DDCI. As a result of discussions during the annual Audit Staff conference we are now in the process of trying to develop an audit program which will allow us to conduct a systematic, limited audit review of some aspects of compliance with Executive Order 12333. Within the next few weeks, the OIG intends to reinstitute the practice of interviewing PCS returnees. This will enable the OIG to monitor the health and well-being of our overseas installations and possibly pinpoint areas where OIG attention should be focused. It might be interesting to note that the IG Grievance and Investigations Staff investigated 23 cases of alleged illegalities and improprieties in 1983 compared to a like number of 23 cases in 1982. They also handled 36 grievance cases in 1983 compared with 27 in 1982. In 1983 the OIG opened three EEO investigations compared with two in 1982. The OIG thinks these figures, which are at quite low levels historically (for an Agency of this size), suggest a reasonably happy work force. Office of Comptroller - The Comptroller completed internal preparation of the FY-86 Program Call. It will be distributed next week with instructions for review of Base and Ongoing Initiatives. 25X1 25X1 Approved For Release 2008/10/16: CIA-RDP86M00886R002700030023-8 Approved For Release 2008/10/16: CIA-RDP86M00886R002700030023-8 ~~" .,vJ~__11, Office of Legislative Liaison - No report. PAO will be working with the director of the National Archives to assist him in organizing a suitable ceremony when the some 300 boxes of OSS operational files which have been held by Archives since 1980 are released to the public. PAO envisions the Archives ceremony will include the DCI, all members of the SSCI and HPSCI, selected OSS veterans, and members of the media. PAO has prepared a separate year-end report on the PRB which will be submitted to the DCI, DDCI and Executive Director. The volume of submissions and the problems posed by ex-employees writing on intelligence-related matters keep growing significantly.
