9. Status of the Mobilization Base. On 18 January NSC noted the
Piesident's request that a thorough analysis and report be made.
10. Economic Assistance for Asia (NSC 5506). On 18 January MSC discussed
OCB's Progress eport and requested the Council on Foreign Economic
Policy to review existing policy in the light of revised basic policy.
11. ILL?RanNe On 9 February NSC discussed OCB's Progress Report and
Folirta?tO7--/F'.'esident's directive concerning budget support to Iran.
12. MDAP Objective for Thailand. On 8 Larch MSC took certain actions on this
saject, including a request for Planning Board review of the objectives
of military assistance to Thailand.
13. Southeast Asia (NBC 1405.1. On 8 Larch NSC discussed OCB's Progress Report
and directed the Planning Board to prepare a revised statement of policy.
14. Implications of Anticipated Trends in US Military Program 1'e discussed
on 22 March.
III. MAJOR ITEMS PENDING BEFORE THE COUNCIL AND PLANNING BOARD.
15. ?rt Controls on Trade. During April the Planning Board and Council

and ORR reports listed under item 3 and ORE Project 111.134 of 30 January
will support.
16. International Trade Patterns. The DCI will report to the Council on
19 April.
17. Baghdad Pact. The Planning Board is scheduled to consider this subject

in the /Addle East, will be used in deliberations on this subject,
