OPEC: Selected Current Account Items
1. The attached table is a copy of the information
supplied to you over the telephone on 5 June.
2. The basis for government t~~ke is the average
revenue per barrel. Profit figures were arrived at by
assuming company prof its of $.50/bbl only on international
company equity shares. Production costs, on the other
hand, are based on total exports.
3. Most of the reduced oil export earnings in 1975
resulted from a 13~ decline in the volume of oil exports
compared to the 1974 level.
