SUBJECT: OIS Weekly Report (22-28 December 1982)
Classification Review Division
Mr. Larry Pickering, C/CDC/Systematic Review of the Department of
State, visited the Agency to introduce his replacement, Mr. Charles C.
Floweree. Mr. Pickering is retiring and Mr. Floweree, a State Department
annuitant, has been hired on an interim contract basis until a permanent
replacement can be found for Mr. Pickering. Comments from W. Floweree
during the briefing and discussion of CDC-CRD relationships indicate that
the. high level of cooperation enjoyed in the past should continue-
One OSS document (1,450 pages), four DoD documents (7 pages), 12 FRUS
manuscripts (212 pages), and five miscellaneous documents (1,812 pages)
were reviewed.
Records Management Division
C/RMMD and two other RAID officers attended a briefing by a representa-
tive of the National Military Intelligence Center on fingerprint verification
for gaining access to a terminal. The speaker gave a summary of the work
being done for the Department of Defense and demonstrated a. prototype model
of the system. If the concept proves acceptable when development has been
completed, features of the system may be adaptable for use with Agency
verification requirements.
Regulations Control Division
RCD completed 56 major actions during this holiday period including the
processing of13 new and revised regulatory issuances.
