SUBJECT: OIS Weekly Report (18-24 August 1982)
Classification Review Division
The National Archives and Records Service (NARS) is interested in hiring
a number of the OSS Review Team members when their contracts end on
30 September 1982. They would be used to review Department of State records
covering the 1950-54 period.
CRD reviewed seven boxes of OSS material containing 22,777 cards, 56 CIA
documents (231 pages), two Department of Defense documents (109 pages), 103
documents at NABS (745 pages), and two articles (7 pages) for the Publications
Review Board.
Records Management Division
RMD has inherited the responsibility for the Forms Supply Catalog from
the office of Logistics and has begun to update the data base required for
publication of the new catalog.
An RMD officer briefed representatives from the Intelligence Community
Staff, the Office of Technical Service, and the Office of Security on the
implementation of Executive Order 12356.
Regulations Control Division
RCD processed 62 issuances with the backlog increasing from 123 to 127
active jobs.
Effective 22 August 1982, employees on a continuous nonpay status for
up to one year will not receive free coverage for Federal Employees Health
Benefits, as in the past, but will share costs with the government as done
during pay status periods.
