STAT Approved For Release 2009/05/06: CIA-RDP87-00352R000100010008-9 PRINTING AND PHOTOGRAPHY DIVISION WEEKLY REPORT FOR PERIOD ENDING 20 January - 26 January 1983 I. Items or Events of Major Interest that have Occurred During the Preceding Week A. Congressional Budget Justification Book (CBJB): Activity for pro- ducing the fiscal year 1984 CBJB has accelerated t is week. Five of the smaller volumes have been printed. Approval to go to press for Volumes 4 (Air Force) and Volume 6 (CIA) was received today, and it is anticipated that approval for Volume 2 (NSA) will be forthcoming by Friday. Needless to say, the delays experienced in getting final approvals will force deli- very for Monday, January 31 right to the wire. It cannot be determined at this time when Volume 3 (GDIP) will be approved, and it is anticipated that only a preliminary proof copy of this volume will be available Monday. B. Wang-Atex Interface: The interface for the Wang 75 20T has been installed and successfully transmitting data from floppy disks directly to Atex. Wang software personnel are addressing a problem relating to data format; and it is anticipated that, with this rectified, the system will be operational this week. C. Digital Prepress: 1. The new transformer for the EOCOM Laser Platemaker is expected to be delivered on Monday 31 January. HEB is working on replacing the wire from the transformer to the platemaker with a heavy gage wire. 2. Members of the Digital Prepress Task Group met with vendors of page make-up systems during the week of January 17-21. The trip to New York and Boston was worthwhile inasmuch as the group was able to narrow down the field of perspective vendors in order to concentrate on those firms which can realistically respond to the system requirements. II. Significant Events Anticipated During the Coming Week None STAT C/P&PD/OL ADMINISTRATIVE - INTERNAL USE ONLY Approved For Release 2009/05/06: CIA-RDP87-00352R000100010008-9
