Progress Report on Tasks Assigned by the DCI/DDCI: No tasks assigned during this reporting period. 2. Items or Events of Major Interest that have Occurred During the Preceding Week: a. LIMS (1) P&PS and AD/PP/OF are in the process of evaluating Requisition Module requirements, as currently documented. The content of this module is, of course, the key to the entire system in that it provides the entry of all customer requests into the system, assures their validity, and routes them to the action modules. Concerns, questions, and critiques of this module will be forwarded to the SDG for resolution today. This will initiate an on-going dialogue that will ultimately resolve issues, problems, and methodologies. (2) Revised project milestones (to be used for the next MBO update) have been received from the Project Manager. Most milestones, including DEVCON award, for the first five months of calendar 1983, reflect 2-10 weeks slippage. This is due, in pan", STAT to resource shortages. b. Regulation Revisions The following regulations were reviewed, commented upon,STAT concurred in, or published during the past week: Cable Handbook - Non concurrence. We questioned whether it can be stated in an HR or HHB that the IBM Selectric is the only typewriter that can be used for cables. Instead, we recommended that the handbook say "IBM Code 108 font or equivalent". Other comments were minor, but we had many--the two handbooks together con- STAT tained 260 pages! Support to OL: of Interdepartmental Support Branch/SD L, of systems Analysis Branch/P&PS/OL. and of Plans and Programs of Data Control Branch/SD/OL, FARS (Federal Automated Requisitioning System). A meeting was held on 30 March to discuss general matters relating to the FARS system. Such items as personnel training, personnel changes, and com onent responsibilities were discussed. In attendence were AVRS (Agency Vehicles Records System). Files were created to contain the test version of the NIPS procedures. Several jobs were successfully run that tested and validated the new test version of the various NIPS procedures. These NIPS procedures will become the production version effective 8 April 1983.
