Items or Events of Major Interest that have Occurred During the Preceding Week. a. GIMS Response Time Poor GIMS response time continues to affect Supply Management Branch (SMB) operations by slowing down the processing of customer requisitions. On Monday, 18 July, response time was averaging about 15 minutes. The biggest problem was with communications line 5 which services three of the six terminals used by SMB. ODP advises that e doing everything possible to correct the situation. b. Pilot Electronic Requisitioning The Systems Analysis Branch/P$PS advises SMB the ICS programming modifications to support a pilot program for electronic requisitioning will be completed and the system will be available for testing during the week of 25 July. The program will be implemented immediately following successful testing.
