STAT
I. Items or Events of Major Interest that have Occurred During the
Preceding Week
A. Digital Pre press: Training of P$PD personnel on the Color STAT
Scanner is entering the second week. Although no live material has been
produced at this juncture, the results of the test separations produced by
thel (trainer have been excellent. STAT
B. World Factbook: A representative of the Office of Central Reference/
Information Services Group (OCR/ISG) has requested duplicate tapes of the
ETECS data file for the 1983 version of the World Factbook. OCR is making
the request in order to respond to a requirement to establish a database for
the National Security Council. This is a followup request to one previously
made to produce tapes for the DOD.
C. DO Photographic Support: OL/PUPD Photography Branch responded to
an immediate request from the DUO/SE. A request for 8,500 black and white
8 x 10 prints was received on Thursday, August 18, and delivered the following
Monday.
D. Color Lab Renovations: On 24 August representatives from Logistics
met with the contractor anSA to schedule a completion date for the few
remaining tasks for the color lab renovation. After a review of a list of
remaining items, it was agreed that all work should be completed by 15 September
1983.
