WEEKLY REPORT
PERIOD ENDING 3 AUGUST 1983
I. Progress Report on Tasks Assigned by the DCI/DDCI:
No items this reporting period.
II. Items/Events of Major Interest:
a. Renovations in DCI Office Area: Modifications to the
telephone and electrical outlets in Room 7D4607 were made by the
GSA Electrical Shop by working overtime on 30 July 1983. The
telephone cable channel which will conceal the telephone wires
is being fabricated by the Carpenter Shop and will be installed
on 13 August.
All new wall art was provided, and arrangements have
been made for reupholstering lounge chairs and DCI office con-
ference chairs. In addition, an order has been placed for
draperies and carpeting.
b. Renovations in DDCI Office Area: Following DDCI approval,
renovation drawings for Room 7D6018 Headquarters Building were
issued to the Space Maintenance and Facilities Branch, LSD/OL on
2 August 1983. Drawings for safe covers for that office are in
progress and will be forwarded at a later date.
c. Exhibit - "Artists for Victory": On 2 August 1983 an
exhibit of 93 prints done by different American artists in 1943
for the purpose of stimulating the war effort went on display in
the 1-D Corridor at Headquarters Building. This project called
"Artists for Victory" is currently being rented from the Library
of Congress and will be exhibited until 2 September 1983.
f. Painting - Office of Current Production and Analytic
Support (CPAS), DD : The Paint op completed the painting of

the entire operations center and adjoining offices for CPAS,
Rooms 7F17-7F33, Headquarters Building, this past week.
g. Reception Area - Ames Building:
has a vise the Space Maintenance and Facilitie's
Branch, LSD/OL, that the reception area at Ames Building will be
ready for occupancy by 15 August 1983. The installation of addi-
tional telephone conduit and final inspection by Arlington County,
Virginia, have delayed the original occupancy date of 1 August
1983.
h. Installation of Electrical Circuits: Installation of
electrical circuits for WANG equipment has been completed for
the Office of Finance and the Foreign Broadcast Information
Service at Key Building and for the Office of Data Processing
k. Installation of Carpet: On 29 July 150 square yards of
carpet were installe in Rooms 1E20, 1B3503, and 6D02, and on
30 July 1983 330 square yards of carpet were installed in Room
5F43, all at Headquarters Building.
