I. Items or Events of Major Interest that have Occured during the
Preceding Week:
25X1 d. Inspection of Satellite Systems: Iwas tasked
with ins ection of a satellite communication system (SC-3) located in lot
25X1 storage The cases opened were found to have moisture damage on the
system's racks and its accessories. Since there are six more systems stored
25X1 at TDY trip has been planned for the week of 29 August through
25X1 2 Se member. Inspections will be made with representatives from
25X1 and other Agency personnel. Repacking will be required atter inspections

25X1 portable EKG unit was prepared for shipment This

f. Blood Pressure Clinic: A blood pressure clinic has been established
for Depot personnel. Depot employees can have their blood pressure checked
either between 0800-0900 hours or 1500-1600 hours Monday through Thursday.

g. Excess Property:
1. On Thursday, 25 August, Safe Masters Truck Company picked up
twenty 4-drawer Remington Rand safes for Bob Sauve of Amtrak. This will

again be a transfer to Amtrak via GSA.
2. Thel (facility still is holding twelve 1981 documents
consisting of 51 line items, total dollar value $497,872 pending action
by the GSA Sales Center.
3. On Friday, 26 August, two CD employees accompanied one trailer
load of 2-drawer and 4-drawer safes to the Property Disposal Office,
Fort Belvoir for disposal. This consisted of 8 documents, 22 line items
25X1 and a total dollar value of $13,388.

h. Repaving Project: The repaving program is in full operation again
after GSA received notification that additional funds have been approved to
continue the program. Removal of sludge and backfillings with a one-foot
layer of gravel--in some instances with six foot layers of landfill--are
underway. Hopefully, pouring of concrete can begin within two weeks.
