Approved For Release 2009/05/28: CIA-RDP87-00352R000100180022-5 STAT ADMINISTRATIVE - INTERNAL USE ONLY PRINTING AND PHOTOGRAPHY DIVISION WEEKLY REPORT FOR PERIOD ENDING 7 June - 13 June 1984 I. Atex delivered the new interfaces to existing systems and the supporting hardware required to test peripheral devices and communications links. Copier Activities: The Xerox 9900 high volume copier currently available for a 60-day test in the P&PD Bindery and Reproduction Center (B&RC) is running well. Over 300,000 copies have been run on the machine in a copy center high production environment with only minor problems. The machine keeps its own log of how many sheets are copied on two sides vs. one side, how many are stapled, sorted, etc. It is demonstrating early that productivity is higher than on the traditionally used Xerox 9400 and 9500VR. Paper jams are less frequent, paper feeding is smoother, sorting is faster, and an entire intermediary step can be eliminated when performing two-sided copying. The 9900 should help expedite the increasing workload in the B&RC which currently has 335 jobs on hand. D. Headquarters Auditorium Support: The new General Electric large screen television (LSTV) projector has been installed in the Headquarters Auditorium. Comments from the audience have been quite favorable. The previous eight year old LSTV 1I ', Approved For Release 2009/05/28: CIA-RDP87-00352R000100180022-5 Approved For Release 2009/05/28: CIA-RDP87-00352R000100180022-5 projector, owned by OCR, was in need of frequent repair, projected a poor quality image, was not stable with regard to tracking, and was a source of contention.
