Fitzwater Deputy Director for Administration SUBJECT: Weekly Report for Period Ending 7 September 1984 1. Progress reports on tasks assigned by the DCI/DDCI: None. 2. Items/events of interest: c. Installation of two hydraulic barricades at the entrance to the DCI garage began this week. d. United Painters and Decorators rewallpapered the DCI dining room suite in asilk-textured vinyl on 23 and 24 August. The new china cabinet, buffets, and servers were put in place on 30 August. Old and new official china will be displayed in the lighted cabinet area. f. The Office of Personnel will be videotaping a health benefits film on 5 September. The film will be shown during this year's "open season" to help employees better understand health benefits coverages and how they are determined. It appears we may be facing a problem with Senator Mansfield's papers given to the University of Montana. State personnel have found classified documents at the University that were marked as coming from the "Mansfield Papers." j. The Director of Security testified in a closed session before the House Armed Services Committee on 6 September concerning the Agency's polygraph program. k. The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, Georgia, has agreed to conducting a special running of a training class from 4 December 1984 to 1 February 1985 exclusively for our first group of Security Protective Officers. 1. From 4 to 6 September) has been conducting a Senior Supervisors course for thirteen managers from CIA, DOJ, DOE, DoD, and the military services. The course is designed to acquaint managers with the practical problems experienced in Technical Security Countermeasures programs. m. A special defensive driving tutorial for six Supreme Court drivers was conducted b Office of Training and Education instructors during 28 - 31 August. The instruction covered driving techniques and weaponry. n. A sizable number of Crs in the July Career Trainee Development Course (CTDC) have undertaken a voluntary after-hours physical training program in order to prepare for the Special Operations Training Course. The informal program is being directed by a CT who came from the U.S. Marine Corps, and consists of jogging and calisthenics. 3. Significant activities anticipated during the coming week: a. On Monday, 10 September, the DDA will address the Agency Wanq Users Group at Headquarters.
