On the morning of 28 September, IDSB/SD was informed of
the sudden transfer of LTC Richard Friedel from the DCSOPS
Focal Point Office. Until a replacement is named, Captain

On 26 September, Chief, Inderpartmental Support Branch
(IDSB), SD/OL, accompanied Office of
Legislative Liaison (OLL), to the Pentagon to participate in a
meeting with DOD Legislative Affairs and other concerned DOD
parties on the acquisition of three excess 02-A aircraft
from the Air Force. Copies of letters prepared by OLL
addressed to Senators Goldwater and Sasser containing pertinent
background information on the transfer of these excess aircraft
were furnished the DOD participants. DOD appeared satisfied
account.

SMB Attendance at GSA Ceremony
On 1 October, representatives from Supply Management
Branch (SMB) attended a GSA special ceremony to formally open
their new Office Products Center in Building 74 at the
Washington Navy Yard. This Center will accommodate emergency
demands for office equipment and provide guidance on the
various sources of supply for office type equipment.
