I am writing to invite you to attend the final meeting of the
Washington Strategy Seminar's 1984-85 program year. The topic
for this session to be held on Thursday evening, June 20, 1985
is "Soviet Policy Toward the Third World: Motives, Strengths
and Vulnerabilities."
The featured speakers for this session are Seminar members
Dr. Francis Fuku ama of the Rand Corporation and Dr. Mark Katz
of th ennan Institute for Advanced Russian Studies at the
Woodrow Wilson Center.
The meeting will be held in Room 203 at the Brookings Institution
located at 1775 Massachusetts Ave., N.W. We will gather for
refreshments at 6:30 and adjournment will be by 8:30 p.m.
In order that we may plan appropriately, I would ask you to
return the enclosed reply form in the envelope provided by
Monday, June 17 at the latest.
I hope you will be able to join us for this final session.
Our 1985-86 program will commence in the fall.
