Hannah, a civilian manager with the Defense Investigative Service, for the position of Deputy for Personnel Security on your staff. Mr. Hannah is experienced in the field of investigations, investigation supervision, use of the polygraph, and in formulation of personnel security policy. He is an effective communicator, both orally and in writing, and is possessed of the initiative and resourcefulness necessary in the position. He deals effectively and properly with all levels of U. Approved For Release 2008/04/14: CIA-RDP87-00812R000100040015-3 Approved For Release 2008/04/14: CIA-RDP87-00812R000100040015-3 DATE OF BIRTH: WORK ASSIGNMENTS: 26 September 1934 Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Spanish (1956) Central College, Fayette, Missouri After two years of commissioned service in the United States Marine Corps, Mr. Hannah joined the Office of Naval Intelligence as a Special Agent in January 1959. He served with the ONI until November 1972, when he accepted a functional transfer to the newly formed Defense Investigative Service. He worked as a field Special Agent conducting personnel security investigations as well as assigned criminal investigations in the State of West Virginia and at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He was trained as a polygraph examiner utilizing that skill when he was the Assistant Senior Resident Agent, Naval Counterintelligence Support Activity, Subic Bay, Republic of the Philippines, from 1965 to 1968. When he left the Naval Investigative Service in 1972, he was the Senior Resident Agent, Miami Field Office. With the Defense Investigative Service, he has served as the Special Agent in Charge, Miami; District Operations Officer, Orlando; a member of the Staff of the Special Investigations Center, DIS Headquarters; District. Operations Officer and Special Agent in Charge, Denver; and, in his present capacity as Director for Investigations, Washington Region. Mr. Hannah has had numerous professional training courses to include the Office of Personnel Management Executive Management Seminar in 1979.
