report in route to Philadelphia on other Hay Associates business. Joe
reported this to me and first thing this morning, 7 November I contacted
to obtain more details on this subject. advised
me that he made the trip from Washington to i ad 1 is via t e Amtrak
Train which departed Washington at 7:00 AM. had many of his
papers on the seat next to him and near the end of the trip to Philadelphia
he remembers reading the report which is attached. When he arrived at the
office in Philadelphia he noticed that the report was missing. He has
reconstructed the events and believes that he put his briefcase on top of
the report and his notebook. Upon departing the train he picked up the
briefcase but failed to remember that the nootbook and a copy of his report
on the Agency's health benefit plan were still on the seat. He has no reason
to believe that the report was not treated as any other material left on a
train. He has made no effort to see if Amtrak has the report in its lost
and found department.
