Dear Mr. President:
On April 10, H. Res. 484, a resolution of inquiry concerning United States
military involvement in hostilities in Central America was introduced in the
House of Representatives and referred for appropriate action to the Committee
on Foreign Affairs and the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
Under the Rules of the House, the Committee has fourteen legislative days
beginning on April 10 to take action on the resolution. The Committee
therefor- requests that you provide to the Committee documents responding to
the itemized particulars of the resolution by Friday, April 20 so- that the
Committee will be in a position to determine how to frame its recommendation
on the resolution. Three copies of the resolution are enclosed herewith.
