SUBJECT: Conversation with House Judiciary Staff
1. On 10 September 1985, I spoke with Arthur "Skip"
Endres, Jr., Counsel, Subcommitee on Immigration, Refugees and
International Law. I set up a meeting for Monday, 16
September, 1985 at 10:30 a.m. in his office with
and myself to discuss the defector citizenship legis ation.
2. He stated that he did not know whether Representative
Mazzoli had read the transcript of the HPSCI hearing. He also
stated that he had asked Bernie Raimo if he could review the
unclassified answers to the post hearing questions posed by
HPSCI but hadn't received an answer. I stated that most of
those answers were in fact Agency views on the legislation and
could be discussed at our meeting.
