SUBJECT: Letter to chairman Hawkins, House Education and Labor Catmittee, re
to his letter seeking Agency views on sufficiency of exemption for employees of
Agency contractors to H.R. 1524, bill barring private polygraphs.
NOTES
We transmitted the original views letter on this subject to the office
of management and Budget (CND) for clearance. CMB objected initially and we
engaged them in discussions on the matter. The attached letter is the
carpranise resulting fran those discussions.
Representative Hawkins' office has asked that they receive this letter
by close of business, Wednesday, December 11, 1985 as they have been given
clearance to go to the House floor with the bill on Thursday afternoon,
December 12, 1985.
