SUBJECT: Proposed Executive Orders
Per your request, PTAS directorate managers have reviewed
the Subject. We have no comments to make except suggest
different wording in the new executive order draft, page
three, section five, which identifies CIA outright as a
practitioner in the business of background investigations.
I am sure you will research this item, however, as it may
be a requirement to so identify CIA, as if eliminated under
the present wording, this agency might have no charter to
conduct background investigations.
