1. Action Requested: Request approval fort H to
travel to Los Alamos an Sandia National Laboratories, New Mexico, during the
period 29 April 1985 through 1 May 1985. (U)
2. Background: has been invited to sit as.a member of a
panel prove ing informal review of the intelligence related R&D activities at
the Sandia Laboratory. Among the other invitees are
and representatives from DIA and DO Research an
development warhead systems and their
exploitation will be reviewed. The panel
members will provide informal comments to the Sandia staff regarding their
evaluation of the usefulness of the various programs. A formal program review
at Sandia is scheduled later and will involve the sponsoring DoD and DOE
agencies. (C)

SUBJECT: April 30th Meeting at Sandia National Laboratories
The purpose of this letter is to confirm our previous discussions regarding
a meeting to be held at Sandia National Laboratories on April 30, 1985. The
subjects of the meeting are: advanced microwave techniques for the
collection of intelligence; the 46C system; and sensors. There will.be a
review of the progress to date, including demonstrations of the concept and
a presentation on the results of a study on mobile missile tracking.
