REFERENCE: Memo for ADDS$T from C/ALD/OGC, dtd 10 Jul 85,
Subj: Conference and Awards Commemorating 25th
Anniversary of the Launch of the First
Reconnaissance Satellite
1. Approval is requested to incur expenses allowed under
2. I believe the expenditure of appropriated funds is
authorized under or the costs for a reception on
18 August 1985 to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of Imagery
Collection from Space.
3. Designated officials and persons present will be 118
Space Pioneers and approximately 400 invited guests from
government and industry. A list of the pioneers and a separate
list of invited guests are attached.
4. I certify that the attendance of the individuals listed
in paragraph 4 has been requested and is considered essential
to the conduct of official Government business and further that
the function will facilitate the accomplishment of the duties
and responsibilities of the Director of Central Intelligence.
Additional details and justification for this expenditure are
provided in the reference attached.
