The appointment memoranda for
officers appointed to SIS positions
contain a statement that the officer
has been cleared by OS, OP (SAS),
OMS and IG. It is requested that
similar clearances be obtained for
officers nominated for chief of installa-
tion positions. At the present time
this office is obtaining these
clearances. This process would be
expedited if the office which originates,
the memoranda would obtain the clearances
and so state the results in its
nomination memo.
