SUBJECT: Clearance Access for Member of Senate Select
Committee on Intelligence
1. This is in response to your letter dated 17 May 1985
and pursuant to the 23 July 1976 Memorandum of Understanding
between the Attorney General and the Senate Select Committee on
Intelligence.
2. This office has reviewed the summary memorandum and
supporting material on Joan Carol Piermarini, as supplied to the
Committee by the Director of the Federal Bureau of
Investigation. It is believed that Ms. Piermarini does meet the
requirements of Executive Order 10450 for access to classified
information up to and including TOP T and for access to
Information as set forth in
Director of Central Intelligence Directive No. 1/14, dated
1 September 1983.
3. In accordance with the verbal understanding between
the Committee and this Agency, the summary memorandum containing
the results of the investigation and supporting material on the
above-mentioned individual is being returned herewith.
