Effective December 16, 1985, Brig. Gen. Wilfred L. Goodson, U.S. Air Force,
Retired, will begin a consultant contract with the Committee on Armed Services to
support the committee in its activities relating to the Strategic Defense
Initiative. General Goodson's contract will run through September 30, 1986.
In his capacity as a consultant to the committee, General Goodson will
require a clearance. I understand that General Goodson held a Top
Secret clearance with the Air Force Office of the Chief of Staff, Studies and
Analysis until his retirement on November 1, 1985. We have asked the Office of
the Secretary of Defense to grant General Goodson a Top Secret clearance during
his consultant contract with the committee.
I would appreciate it if General Goodson will be granted a
clearance through September 30, 19$6. General Goodson's
is and he was born on
General Goodson currently holds a Secret clearance with Burdeshaw Associates,
Bethesda, Maryland, in his cappll!S% as a consultant with that firm.
Your early attention \to this request would be appreciated.
