Let me assure you that this Agency neither participated in nor countenanced the MISURASATA's kidnapping of Mr. Raymond Hooker and Miss Patricia Delgado. The Central Intelligence Agency does not condone such acts against the civilian populace. The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence has been interested in the plight of Mr. Hooker and Miss Delgado, and this Agency has been continually providing such information as has come to our knowledge to that Committee. Mr. Hooker lived in Ohio for years and has received numerous degrees from O.U. Mr. Hooker works for the Nicaraguan Government and was captured by the opposition to the Anti-Sandinistas.
