FUTURE ITEMS
1. Congressional Calendar
Congress adjourns on Friday, 2 August until. Wednesday,
4 September. There will be a push on next week to enact the DoD
Authorization Bill (conference completed), complete conferences
on Supplemental Appropriations (Nicaragua issue), Foreign Aid
Authorization (also has Nicaragua provision) and State
Authorization (also has Nicaragua provision). The House will
also be pushing several appropriation bills through next week.
2. Congressional Travel
We have a number of Intelligence Committee Members traveling
during the August recess, and we can expect additional trips to
materialize next week. Senator Helms may be going with Senator
Hecht to Israel. This is really a personal trip for Hecht. We
don't know what it is for Helms. All other matters are
contained in the attachment.
