1. U.S. Charges of Nicaraguan Terrorism
The Washington Post stor stirred interest in both
Intelligence Committees. responded to a call from 25X1
Chairman Durenberger for in ormation on the intelligence basis
for the Administration statement. Chairman Hamilton requested a
briefing on the same subject which is scheduled for Monday,
22 July.
2. Moynihan Amendment on Foreign Surveillance of U.S.
Persons
In accordance with the DCI's instructions, we called DoD
Congressional Liaison and told them of the urgent need to
publicly oppose the Moynihan Amendment which is attached to the
State Authorization Bill now in Conference.
Future Items
1. FY85 Supplemental Appropriation Bill
The Conference on this Bill will begin on 22 July.
