1. Briefing for Mr. Cheney, HPSCI Member
2. Meetings with Mr. Stokes, HPSCI Member, and Mr. Stump,
HPSCI Ranking Minority Member
On Wednesday, 5 June, the DDCI and a representative of ICS
had meetings with Representatives Stokes and Stump to discuss
the IC budget.
3. SSCI Briefing on the Philippines
On Thursday, 6 June, the DCI, NIO/EA, and a
representative of DO/NE briefed the SSCI on the Philippines.

2. Briefing for Mr. McConnell, SSCI Member
On Monday, 10 June, at 1700 hours, representatives of
DI/ALA will brief Senator Mitch McConnell on South Africa.
3. House Post Office and Civil Service Subcommittee
on Civil Service Hearing in Support of the New
Hostage Relief Act
CIA testimony in support of the new Hostage Relief Act,
H.R. 2019, was forwarded to OMB for approval. The hearing is
set for Wednesday, 12 June, at 0930 hours, on the Bill before
the House Post Office and Civil Service Subcommittee on Civil
Service.
4. Update on Central America and Cuba for HPSCI 25X1
On Thursday, 13 June, at 1000 hours,,the ADDO, SA/DDO,
Comptroller, and representatives from DO/LA will provide an
update briefing for HPSCI on Central America and Cuba.
6. Briefing for Representatives Bartlett, Bilirakis,
Erdreich and Tallon
On Tuesday, 18 June, at 1600 hours, a representative of
DI/SOVA will brief Representatives Steve Bartlett, Michael
Bilirakis, Ben Erdreich, and Robin Tallon on the Soviet Union.
7. SSCI Hearing on National Intelligence Strategy
On Wednesday, 19 June, at 0930 hours, the DCI and D/ICS
will provide testimony before the SSCI on National
Intelligence Strategy.
