The Chairman, Task Force on the Budget Process, House Committee on
the Budget, has requested the General Accounting Office to study
and report on the budget impact of all forms of immigration over
the next ten years. There are at least 14 federal agencies involved
in immigration activities. We want to obtain from them fiscal year
1984 (or other available year) expenditure or revenue data related
to immigrants or immigration activities. CIA has at least one such
activity-- refugee name tracing. We would like to discuss this area,
as well as any other immigrant-related activities, with CIA officials.
