SUBJECT: Meeting with Representative McKinney's staff on
Agency Exception to H.R. 1924
1. On October 18, 1985, I met with Rob Gabany, legislative
assistant to Representative McKinney. I asked Mr. Gabany
whether or not the Represntative had agreed to reword the
Agency's exemption in H.R. 1924 to make it conform to the
exemption given to the National Security Agency (NSA). Mr.
Gabany indicated that he was discussing the bill with the
Representative on Monday, October 21, 1985. He did not,
however, anticipate a problem in securing this change.
