Prior to that, during the mid and late sixties, he headed the office of Research and Analysis for the USSR and Eastern Europe in the Department of State. Since leaving the Government, Mr. Sonnenfeldt has worked as a consultant on international affairs to several American corporations. He appears frequently as a commentator on inter- national issues on radio and television programs both in the U.S. and abroad, and he has written articles for numerous journals and newspapers. He lectures on international relations in the U.S. and abroad.
