Sanitized Copy Approved for Release 2010/04/28: CIA-RDP87R00529R000200150020-5 0 0 The Director of Central Intelligence Washington, D.C. 20505 National Intelligence Council 'Dr. Alton Frye Director, Washington Office Council on Foreign Relations 11 Dupont Circle Washington, D.C. 15 May 1984 I enjoyed talking with you at our recent conference, and I was particularly pleased that we had the foresight to include you in the program. Your comments throughout the meeting helped to focus and distill much of the discussion. As I hoped, the conference was a step toward a better dialogue between government and non-government specialists. Over the next several months, I and my associate will be trying to widen our circle of specialists on w nom we can ca l to exchange ideas. Our own research agenda will be placing considerable emphasis on Aegean matters, the Alliance defense debate and the future of the European Community. With my own interests and background focusing on Greece, Cyprus and the Aegean, I would be interested in participating in any Council activities on these topics that are open to non-members. Similarly, with a substantive background in Germany, NATO, and arms control -- would find it useful to attend any study groups that touch on these issues. Best Regards, Milton Kovner National Intelligence Officer for Western Europe Sanitized Copy Approved for Release 2010/04/28: CIA-RDP87R00529R000200150020-5
