Congressional Hearing Security
The Committee has been advised that CIA security personnel will only
provide security sweeping and monitoring service for Congressional hearings
or briefings involving the CIA itself or the Director of Central Intelligence.
Other NFIP program managers will either have to provide security for their
heorings or utilize the Capitol Police services.
1. Isn't NFIP security the task of the Intelligence Community Staff (ICS)?
2. Why can't the ICS act as a centralized point for all NFIP hearings,
including the provision of security?
3. What objection would you have to the Capitol Police sweeping and
monitoring all NFIP hearings?
4. Who provides sweeping and monitoring for NFIP hearings before other
Congressional committees?
