Ibis Conference is being sponsored by the Technology Research and Development Subgroup
of the Joint Technical Coordinating Group on Aircraft Survivability, JTCG/AS. The Subgroup has
the responsibility to assess design features and state-of-the-art developments for the improvement
of aircraft survivability. The theme of the Conference will address the design and use of armor
systems to enhance aircraft survivability.
Sessions will be planned in the following areas:
? CONCEPTS TO PROTECT CREW AND VITAL COMPONENTS
? DAMAGE TOLERANT OR RESISTANT INTEGRAL STRUCTURE OR COMPONENTS
? FUTURE MATERIALS AND POTENTIAL APPLICATIONS
? ARMOR DESIGN REQUIREME? TS
? INTEGRALIPARASITIC INSTALLATIONS AND REPAIR
? EXPERIENCE FACTORS (Flight Personnel)
Abstracts of approximately 200-300 words for classified and unclassified papers will be con-
sidered for presentation. All attendees will possess security clearances or need to know certifica-
tion. Foreign participation has not been authorized.
In addition, a session of 10 minute work-in-progress presentations is being planned for which
extended abstracts are required for review.
