Minutes of the 10 Aug 1982 meeting of the Compartmentation Subcommittee were approved as written. Alternate Army Member. I lintroduced as the new Alternate Army member of the Subcommittee. Revision of DCID 1/7, "Control of Dissemination of Intelli- 25X1 gence Information." During the 10 August 1982 meeting, noted 25X1 that the Intelligence Community has adopted several different styles of abbreviations for SCI codewords/caveats and related markings. Some were often confusing to the reader and 25X1 asked that the membership consider whether it would be advan- tageous for the Subcommittee to compile a standard listing of SCI abbreviations for forwarding to the SECOM with a recommenda- tion that it be considered for adoption by the Intelligence 25X1 Community. The Chairman noted that the majority of the members appeared to be in favor of the proposal and advised that he would keep the matter under advisement until the next meeting.-- SCI Security Classification Guide. suggested that 25X1 the Compartmentation Subcommittee consider compiling a classifi- cation guide on matters common to all SCI security managers. The Chairman advised that this matter would also be kept under advisement until the next meeting. Next meeting. The next meeting of the Compartmentation Sub- committee will be announced at a later date.
