Standardized Listing of SCI Codewords/Caveats and Related
Markings. During the 10 August 1982 meeting, noted 25X1
that the Intelligence Community has adopted several different
styles of abbreviations for SCI codewords/caveats and related
markings. Some were often confusing to the reader and 25X1
asked that the membership consider whether it would be advan-
tageous for the Subcommittee to compile a standard listing of
SCI abbreviations for forwarding to the SECOM with a recommenda-
tion that it be considered for adoption by the Intelligence 25X1
Community. The Chairman noted that the majority of the members
appeared to be in favor of the proposal and advised that he
would keep the matter under advisement until the next meeting.--
SCI Security Classification Guide. suggested that 25X1
the Compartmentation Subcommittee consider compiling a classifi-
cation guide on matters common to all SCI security managers.
The Chairman advised that this matter would also be kept under
advisement until the next meeting.
Next meeting. The next meeting of the Compartmentation Sub-
committee will be announced at a later date. An agenda will be
provided when a date is established. //
