The Minutes of the 19 September 1984 meeting were approves; as written. 2. ISWG Presentation. Mr. Gary Griffith, Lockheed Missiles and Space Company (Sunnyvale , representing industry's Industrial Security Working Group (ISVV G), briefed the PSWG on the origins and activities of the ISWG. He handed out copies of the ISWG "charter" and a document pertaining to DIAM 50-3//NFIB/NFIC-9.1/47. The latter document identifies areas of discrepancy between the two directives and suggests areas for clarification. Mr. Griffith responded to questions and expressed the hope that the ISWG and PSWG could cooperate for the common good. The ISWG is comprised of about 50 contractors to the Intelligence Community and represents both large and s-nall contracting firms. The Chairman stated that Mr. Griffith's briefing was a first step in communications between Industry and the Community with respect to physical security. Mr. Griffith indicated that the ISWG wholeheartedly endorses contractor training by Government in areas of mutual concern. 3. Old Business a. October Seminar. The Seminar is on track with 23 nominees identified, plus one observer from the Defense Security Institute. requested clearance data for nominees from Army and DIA. Members were invited to attend sessions of interest, with particular attention to the Monday evening session at which the attendees identify areas/topics of concern. b. NF1B/NFIC-9/47 Status. Because of current concerns with computer-based alarm systems, DIA is arranging for a complete re-write (in layman's terms) of the Alarm Section. Included in the new draft will be a re-write of the Communications Section and an Inspection checklist. DIA estimates completion of this expanded re-write effort by the 13 Nov 1984 PS W G meeting. Issues Raised by August Seminar Attendees. The PS% v agreed that these issues are adequately addressed at the seminars and no PSW(a action is required. 4. ivew Business. a. D1A Physical Security Seminar. This Seminar will be conducted 22-26 October 1984 at Crystal City and PSVvG members are invited to attend portions of interest; details/agenda may be obtained from DIA Member (373-2336). b. Contractor Comments re NFIB Document Revision. The Members present were unanimous in their belief that contractor comments on the NFIB/NFIC-9.1/47 re- write would be invaluable. The Chairman will request SECOM approval for this possible course of action. 5. The next meeting of the Physical Security Working Group is scheduled for 1000 hours, 13 November 1984 at CIA HQ; the room number will be provided at the Reception Desk.
