Scheckells, Navy 1. General. The Minutes of the 16 May 1984 meeting were approved as written. State and DOE reported non-receipt of the Minutes and the chairman will provide extra copies to these Departments. 2. Chairman's Report a. A joint Government/Industry symposium has been tentatively agreed upon by GSA's Interagency Advisory Committee on Security Equipment (IACSE) and the American Defense Preparedness Association (ADPA) for March or April 1985 at Eglin AFB. A call for papers has been announced and the chairpersons of the IACSE subcommittees will screen the abstracts for pertinence to IACSE interests. b. The IACSE has re-drafted its charter and copies were furnished to the PSWG. PSWG Members may comment on the draft revision through their IACSE Principals or, if their Agency/Department is not represented on the IACSE, through the Chairman, PSWG. c. The IACSE will formally recommend against Government acceptance of the new La Guard key change combination lock as a hand change lock. 3. Old Business a. NFIB/NFIC-9.1/47 Status. Navy has submitted input to DIA; DIA awaits input from the Telephone Security Panel re computerized telephones; DIA needs POC for Army; 12 September 1984 established as revision completion date. NSA reports no change in status; NSA preparing PDS input to revision of NFIB/NF$.1/47. GTE version of protective wire line wrapping received by DIA. c. DIA has received a PEAK IR portable volumetric system for use by travelers; will send to ARADCOM for review. d. Terrorism tasking on hold until further notice. I outlined several options with respect to what the SECOM can do re original ICS tasking; Members asked to provide other ideas. 4. New Business a. August 1984 Seminar. FEMA has asked for one space and will be accommodated by DIA quota. Tentative space allocations as follows: DIA 4 DOE 2 NSA 4 AF 2 NAVY 5 OSD 1 STATE 2 FBI 1 CIA 2 DOJ and Army will be queried by the Chairman. Names of attendees and speakers to be provided NLT 13 July 1984. Tentative agenda for 20-24 August 1984 Seminar distributed to Members; it was agreed to reduce Safety/OSHA presentation/workshop in order to accommodate a session on TEMPEST zoning. A Monday evening session will be held to elicit information on field problems; Members invited to participate and to meet attendees. Arrangements will be made to videotape presentations by b. Member Reports. NSA - Realigning barriers at HQ CIA - Raised issue of personal pagers (beepers) being brought into SCIF's. DIA - new telephone number -at the Defense Intelligence Analysis Center (DIAC) is 373-2336; as of 1 July 1984 will use a 9-digit zip code. c. Israeli Access Control System. Members who have had an opportunity to see or read about this system are invited to provide comments, if any, to d. SECOM Briefing. A SECOM Orie Briefing will be held on 18 July 1984. Names of attendees to be submitted to hairman SECOM, at 945-1200. The next meeting of the PSWG is scheduled for 18 July 1984 at 1000 hours at CIA Headquarters; the room number to be provided at the Reception Desk.
