1. Mr. Berkin opened the meeting requesting changes, corrections or
approval of the minutes of the 15 June meeting. The minutes were approved as
written.
2. He then addressed the matter of speakers and attendees at the pilot
Intelligence Community Physical Security Seminar during 8-12 August. The
final schedule and designated speakers are noted on the attached seminar
schedule. requested to be informed as soon as possible of any
requirements for visual media or other training aids at the seminar, to
include handouts for participants. Funding for handouts would be consid-
ered where funds are required. Identity of attendees was impossible at this
point; the Working Group representatives who were uncertain were to contact
by 15 July. Mr. Berkin emphasized the importance of all organi-
zations being represented at the seminar, so the optimum critique could be
developed. Mr. Berkin acknowledged that contractors and non-Intelligence
Community Government people will become interested in this seminar. He stated
that we will "gingerly" recognize that interest as the Working Group develops.
3. reviewed administrative details relative to
Maps and administrative notes were furnished to all present, and are also
attached to the copies of these minutes addressed to the members not present
at the meeting. Mr. Berkin requested that copies of the schedule and maps be
included with letters of invitation to speakers at the seminar.
4. Mr. Berkin then proposed a formal seminar critique and furnished
a strawman for consideration. The strawman was generally considered satis-
factory. It was proposed that presentations be scored separately on content
and presentation; and also that the use of visual aids be considered in each
critique. Mr. Berkin took the proposals and agreed to develop a final
critique for use at the seminar.
5. The meeting adjourned and the next meeting will be scheduled on a
date to be determined following the August seminar.
