D.C. 20389 C 00 r 4J 0 o1.4 MEMORANDUM FOR CHAIRMAN, DCI SECURITY COMMITTEE Subj: FACILITY PROTECTION SUBCOMMITTEE CHAIRMAN Ref: (a) SECOM D-254 of 8 Oct 85 1. In response to reference (a), regret that the Navy is presently unable to make available a candidate suitable for chairmenship of the Facility Protection Subcommittee. This year is the first in which DOD requires us to meet a biannual (rather than the previous triannual) inspection schedule for each Navy SCI facility, and our resources are fully committed. 2. Pending assumption of the reins by a new chairman, Navy representatives to the subcommittee, Mr. Schmeltz and Mr. Gordon, will assist as much as possible in helping to keep up momentum of the ongoing revision of SCIF standards.
