SUBJECT: Request to Submit Manuscript for Nonofficial

1. I request permission to submit for publication the
attached manuscript ' I wrote the
manuscript for Bison Books Ltd, of Greenwich Ct. The gk is
designed to be a very basic text for the laymen covering the
history, strategy, and weapons of the U.S. defense establishment.
It will be a large format book, half text and half photos and
illustrations. To meet a publication deadline, I would
appreciate a completion of the agency review by March 1 1983.
2. To the best of my knowledge, none of the material present
in the manscript is classified. I have used material from a wide
varity of standard historical and reference works (The Military
Balance, Janes' series, etc.) Technical information is drawn
from open source reference works on weapons, ships,and planes and
trade or service journals (Aviation Week, Army, Infantry, etc.)
for more current information.
3. I am not under cover and will not be identified as an
Agency or a U.S. government employee. The following biographic
description will be used:
