SUBJECT: Request to Submit Essays for Nonofficial Publication
1. I would like permission to submit for publication the attached
text titled
This will be in association with a former university colleague now
teaching at Central Michigan University.
2. The book consists of eight essays written by historians in the
US and Mexico. As one of the co-editors. I helped author the preface
and the introductions. One essay,
was taken from the doctoral dissertation of a current
agency employee. A concluding essay--to be written by
of North Carolina State University--will be added later.
3. When approved, I intend to submit the manuscript for publi-
cation at the University of New Mexico Press.
4. None of the material presented in the manuscript is, to my
.knowledge, classified. This book is a collection of essays on regional
,Mexican history and deals with Mexico prior to 1910.
5. I am not undercover. I will not append the standard dis-
claimer because I will not be identified as an agency employee.
