want to thank you for authorizing Mr. Arthur Long's participation in the
Seminar on the Producer-Consumer Relationship on 9 January. At the same
time, we want to thank Mr. Long for giving continued and invaluable
support to our New Analyst Course. The Seminar, attended by CIA senior
analysts and branch chiefs from the Directorate of Intelligence, examines
the relationship between producers and consumers of intelligence and
explores problem areas of mutual concern. The New Analyst Course is
given to analysts with less than three months of Agency experience.
Mr. Long's presentations are always well received. He has a special
knack for combining humor, substance, and specific examples. He also
does a good job in tailoring his presentation to a specific audience. We
are always gratified to have such a dynamic and effective speaker address
