Thank you for making Lieutenant Colonel Bard O'Neill of
the Department of Military Strategy available for our Military
Analysis Course. LTC O'Neill did a superb job in a keynote
presentation on the analysis of insurgencies.
Our Military Analysis Course provides a basic understanding
of conventional military forces and related analytic problems to
new analysts. Insurgency is one of the most difficult problems
which we address. We have been struggling to develop the proper
mix of theory and practical work in that section. This time we
made a quantum jump and LTC O'Neill played a major part in the
change. The depth and range of his knowledge and his ability
to articulate on this complex subject impressed Staff and
students alike.
We hope to have the opportunity to call upon him in the
