Dear Secretary Ikle:
I would like to express my appreciation for the talk given to
the annual FBIS bureau chiefs conference by Dr. Darnell Whitt. All
of us found Dr. Whitt's presentation on the DOD use of our products
enlightening, and Dr. Whitt's manner of presentation enlivening.
FBIS is constantly trying to get a better idea of who our
consumers are and how we can better serve them, especially in view
of our modernization program which will provide a greater variety
of electronic services and realtime and near-realtime video from
various parts of the world. Our discussions with Dr. Whitt enable
us to serve you better, and we plan to maintain a dialogue with him
as our plans develop.
