Approved For Release 2008/06/27: CIA-RDP88-0107OR000200820005-3 CBS EV13ntG MS 5 August 1983 CENTRAL AMERICA RATHER: The Soviet cargo ship, Alexander Ulyanov, questioned /SOVIET SHIPS last Saturday in a confrontation by a U.S. Navy destroyer docked today at Nicaragua's Pacific port of Corinto. It carried what the Soviets and the Nicaraguans claim is general non-miIita:v material. But the White House, late .this afternoon, released what it said was a partial manifest of that ship. It indicated the Ulyanov was carrying two helicopters that could be used in combat missions. as well as spare parts for transport aircraft.
