CENTRAL AMERICA RATHER: The Soviet cargo ship, Alexander Ulyanov, questioned
/SOVIET SHIPS last Saturday in a confrontation by a U.S. Navy destroyer docked
today at Nicaragua's Pacific port of Corinto. It carried what
the Soviets and the Nicaraguans claim is general non-miIita:v
material. But the White House, late .this afternoon, released
what it said was a partial manifest of that ship. It indicated
the Ulyanov was carrying two helicopters that could be used in
combat missions. as well as spare parts for transport aircraft.
A spokesman would not say whether the report, the manifest was
obtained by U.S. intelligence agents.
