LEBANON/U.S. RATHER: U.S. intelligence claims it now knows the group
EMBASSY ATTACK responsible for the bombing two weeks ago of the U.S.
Embassy annex in Beirut. Sources tell Pentagon
correspondent David Martin that the attack was carried out
by a radical Shiite Moslem group called'` cri Party
of God. That group is based in west Beirut and has ties
to Iran. It also has been linked to last year's bombing
of the U.S. Marine headquarters in Beirut.
